PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT
Maybe you’ve sensed that the way you move through the world is different, and you want to understand why. Or perhaps you're a parent watching your child struggle and searching for answers…
For me, assessments are more than a report or a diagnosis. They're an opportunity to understand how a person thinks, learns, and experiences the world; and to use that understanding to help build a life that genuinely works for you.
WHO ASSESSMENTS ARE FOR
I offer assessments for children, teenagers, and adults who are seeking answers about autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.
You might be here because:
Your child is finding school harder than their peers, and you're not sure why
You've always felt different, and you're ready to understand yourself more deeply
Someone in your life (a teacher, GP, another professional) has suggested an assessment
You're an adult who suspects you may be autistic or have ADHD, and you're finally giving yourself permission to find out
You need a formal assessment to access support through the NDIS, school, or your workplace
Whatever brought you here, you're in the right place (and if not, I’ll help you find the right person for the job).
what i assess
-
Autism assessments explore how you (or your child) experience the social world, sensory environment, and daily life. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming…I'm not looking for deficits. I'm looking for the full picture of who you are.
-
ADHD assessments explore how attention, impulse control, executive functioning, and emotional regulation show up across different areas of your life. I assess both children and adults, and I'm experienced in identifying ADHD presentations that are often missed, including those in women, girls, and people who've developed strong masking strategies over time.
-
Cognitive and learning assessments explore how a person processes, retains, and applies information. These assessments are particularly useful for children who are struggling academically, or those who are not being challenged sufficiently at school.
A NOTE ON MY APPROACH
I am a neurodiversity-affirming psychologist. This means I see autism, ADHD, and learning differences as part of the natural diversity of human minds, not disorders to be fixed. Assessments in my practice are conducted with warmth, respect, and a genuine curiosity about the person in front of me.
For many people, an assessment is a profound experience - sometimes emotional, sometimes a relief, often both. I feel honoured to walk that journey with my clients.
